Activists Standing Fast at Venezuelan Embassy

Despite a round-the-clock siege by raucous and abusive right-wingers, US activists are “resolute” in their protection-occupation of the Venezuelan embassy in Washington. Followers of self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido blow bullhorns and “shoot lasers directly in our eyes and have sexually assaulted one of the women in our organization,” said Medea Benjamin, co-founder of Code Pink, which along with the Answer Coalition and Popular Resistance have been safeguarding the embassy since Venezuelan diplomats vacated the building a month ago.
