South African Sex Workers Embrace Feminism

By studying feminism, sex workers learned “that self-identification of being a feminist actually strengthened our sex worker rights politics,” said Nkozo Yingwana, a doctoral student and researcher for the African Sex Workers Alliance. The fundamental truth, Yingwana said, is that sex work is a legitimate form of work.
