Ready for the Wicked Witch of the West?

by Raymond Nat Turner

“We came, we saw—he died…a -ha-ha-ha, a-ha-ha-ha…”

“We came, we saw—he died…a -ha-ha-ha, a-ha-ha-ha…”

“We came, we saw—he died…a -ha-ha-ha, a-ha-ha-ha…”

“We came, we saw—he died…a -ha-ha-ha, a-ha-ha-ha…”

Cackling voice looped from a chamber in Koch Castle—

Scary Godmother, of Albright, Iron Lady lineage readying

Herself for the crown, Wicked Witch of The West, herding

Monkeys, white, black and Mexican, like Magi, Iceberg Slim Alumni ready to fly, ready apply her modus operandi, ready

To lie, ready to cry freeze-dried tears like they did for Iceberg

She needs monkeys concealing gauze history from

Sunlight, she needs monkeys springing from the mule,

Flying in formation terrorizing denizens with images of

Elephant stampede; she needs monkeys trained to rewrite

Her resume, monkeys who can ape prosperity preachers,

Slutty professors and hi-profile personalities on the tube,

Monkey poets, scribblers, scratchers and rappers to pen

Paeans to empire, monkeys to stitch fractured fairytales

With Misinformation, disinformation, half-truths and big lies—

Making Dr Goebbels dick rise ready or not like

An aborted Predator broom takeoff crashing and

Burning, may she, like the Iron Lady, Rust In Piece&hell
