Ben Passmore is the author of the graphic novel: “Black Arms to Hold You Up: A History of Black Resistance,” published by Pantheon Books. Ben Passmore is an award-winning political cartoonist who has previously contributed to Black Agenda Report. Black Arms to Hold You Up takes readers through more than a century of Black resistance against the state, from Robert Charles's shootout with the police in 1900 to the Black power movement of the 1960s and the George Floyd uprisings of 2020. Ben Passmore joins us from Philadelphia.
