Mumia Abu Jamal, the nation’s best known political prisoner, marked the 150th anniversary of W.E.B. Dubois’ birth with a special message. “For today’s scholars in history and sociology, his texts remain required reading, just as Freud’s remain central to modern psychology,” said Abu Jamal, in an essay for Prison Radio.
