The premier organization pushing for Black reparations holds its 30th annual convention, June 20 – 23, in Detroit. HR 40, the House Reparations Study bill, now has a companion measure in the U.S. Senate. “This is the first time since Reconstruction that there has been the potential for bicameral debate on the issue of redress for Black people in this country,” said Kam Howard, the Male Co-Chair of N’COBRA, the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America.
