Lula vs. Bolsonaro in Brazil's Presidential Election
Black Agenda Radio with Margaret Kimberley
09 Oct 2026
🖨️ Print Article

Brazil's incumbent president Lula da Silva finished second behind Flavio Bolsonaro in the first round of the presidential election. Because neither man received at least 51% of the vote, a run-off election on October 25 will decide the presidency. Watch as Robert Wilson joins us from Rio de Janeiro to provide analysis on Brazilian politics, racism in that country, and why the son of an imprisoned former president may yet serve in that same office.
