A Tribute to Glen Ford

"What would Glen Ford say?" That question is one which we often ask ourselves two years after his passing. Glen was extremely prescient, so much so that his words about the 2020 election are relevant as the 2024 election approaches. There is very little happening in the world now that he did not address in his lifetime. The claim that something called Bidenomics is providing good jobs is belied by Glen's analysis of ever worsening austerity which forces workers into terrible precarity. Of course Glen Ford explained why both parties in the duopoly ignore the needs of their members. They aren't really political parties in the tradition sense, but merely influence peddling operations for the U.S. oligarchy. Glen commented on Black politics and how it deteriorated so badly that even our people's traditional adherence to anti-war positions was corrupted by the first Black president. Glen Ford was the driving force behind Black Agenda Report. We can do no less than give special attention to just a few of his commentaries. His book The Black Agenda was published in 2021 and contains some of his best commentaries.
