She joins us from New York City to discuss the outcome of a labor agreement which attempts to force New York City retirees to accept a privatized Medicare advantage program to access free care. Should this plan go forward, they would have to pay nearly $200 a month in order to secure traditional Medicare. The matter is now before the City Council which will vote on a proposal to change the City’s administrative code and allow this plan to go forward.
