Black Agenda Radio · Mayor Eric Adams Proposes Ending the Right to Shelter

Krys Cerisier is an organizer with Vocal-NY’s Homeless Union. She joins us to talk about housing policy in New York City, including the right to shelter, a rule which Mayor Eric Adams has proposed changing. The arrival of thousands of migrants exacerbated the need for shelter which was already acute. After our interview the New York City Council voted to override the mayor's veto of the housing assistance legislation they had approved. Krys Cerisier joined us from New York City.
