US Could Learn Democracy From Venezuela

“There is a great deal to be learned from the Venezuelan electoral process,” said veteran human rights activist Efia Nwangaza, the Black Alliance for Peace observer at the recent Venezuelan election. Nwangaza echoed former president Jimmy Carter’s assessment that Venezuela’s electoral process is ‘the best in the world.” US voters “would be fortunate” to have such a model, she said.
