Black Agenda Radio · Palestine and International Sports Double Standards

International sports governing bodies such as the International Olympic Committee have banned athletes from Russia and other countries due to the actions of their governments. The International Federation of Football Associations, known by its acronym FIFA, allowed Israel to compete in the recently completed Olympic games, despite committing war crimes in Gaza, and has postponed making any decision about Israel’s participation in FIFA events. Katarina Pijetlovic is Head of the Palestine Football Association Legal Department. She joins us from Portugal to discuss other double standards in international sports as they impact Palestine.
