Black Agenda Radio · New York City Council Brings Accountability to NYPD and City Jails

The New York City Council passed two new pieces of legislation, Intro 549A – Ending Solitary Confinement and Intro 586 – How Many Stops Act, and over road mayor Eric Adams vetoes to do so. We are joined by Melanie Dominguez, lead organizer for the Katal Center for Equity, Health and Justice in New York. She explains the importance of these two initiatives to the people of New York City and the political significance of the City Council votes.
