Guyana and the Struggle Against U.S. Imperialism
Black Agenda Radio with Margaret Kimberley
14 Aug 2026
🖨️ Print Article

Gerald Perreira is chairperson of the Organization for the Victory of the People in Guyana. He discusses the America’s Counter-Cartel Coalition (ACCC) known as Shield of the Americas, the latest iteration of the U.S. self-asserted right to control the entire hemisphere. How is Guyana impacted by U.S. power and by complicit political leadership in that country and the region? We ask these questions as the U.S. continues its siege against the people of Cuba, who have a long history of solidarity with Guyana.
