Black Agenda Radio · Freedom for Leonard Peltier

80-year-old Leonard Peltier was freed from 49 years of imprisonment when Joe Biden commuted his life sentence to house arrest on January 19th, one day before he left the office of the presidency. Peltier was convicted of killing 2 FBI agents in 1977. However, he always maintained his innocence, and there were many questions about the fairness of his trial. To discuss the significance of Peltier's commutation, we are joined by Kalonji Changa, a co-founder of Black Power Media and host of RSTv on YouTube. He is also the founder and national coordinator of the FTP Movement. Jenipher Jones is the founder and managing attorney of the law firm For the People and the lead attorney for Leonard Peltier. She joins us from Denver and Kalonji Changa joins from Atlanta.
