Black Agenda Radio · Eritrean Festivals Under Attack

Elias Amare is a journalist and editor at Horn of Africa TV. He joins us from Oakland, California to talk about Eritrean festivals which take place throughout Europe, the US, and Canada, wherever there are Eritrean communities. These celebrations of Eritrean history and culture have been marred by sometimes violent disruptions. We will discuss the cause of these disturbances and the motives of those who carry them out.
