Black Agenda Radio · Dr. Al-Fatah Stewart Fights for Freedom

Dr. Al-Fatah Stewart has been held in the Rikers Island correctional facility in New York City for the last 43 months without trial. Because his legal counsel has been absent from his court appearances, Stewart has been held without the right to a speedy trial that the constitution guarantees. He recorded this message from Rikers Island in October 2022. His experience is a common one not only on Rikers Island, but throughout the mass incarceration system in the U.S. Despite the audio quality of the message, his words are still powerful. Anyone wishing to support him should email aboutthepeople1312@gmail.com.
