By overthrowing the government of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, the U.S. “created the conditions” that led to the return of slave auctions in Libya,” said Omali Yeshitela, chairman of the Black Is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations. Washington attacked Libya largely because Gaddafi was a Pan-Africanist “who advocated a United States of Africa,” said Yeshitela.

The imminent defeat of U.S.-backed jihadists in Syria and Iraq has led to the formation of a “peace bloc” of nations opposed to Washington’s wars, said British journalist Vanessa Beeley. “Now we have Turkey and Qatar basically joining the China-Russia-Iran-Syria-Lebanon-Iraq axis,” said Beeley, an associate editor for 21st Century Wire.
